Patina Patina PatinaMiller played the role of Lead Player as the Leading Player in Miller's role as the Leading Player in Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's famed production of the year 1972's musical "Pippin". Produced by Tony Award-winning Director Diane Paulus, and also featuring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina gave her unique contemporary version of the award-winning Ben Vereen's role and did a great job at mastering the Fosse moves that are so important to the show. Patina earned an Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in the Leading Role in a Musical and the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical in addition to Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for the performances. From December 2012 until Jan. 2013, she played the Leading Player of the American Repertory Theatre's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
